First of all, Happy Mothers Day! I do believe i have 1 of the best out there, i didnt give her the day off tho as we had work to do ha.
16th in qualifying should have gave me a good inside gate for the first turn, but as usual the mx2 riders get togo to the line first leaving me with 36th pick of the gate and left me nowhere to go but way on the outside for turn 1.
race 1- a mad fight on the first lap got me up to 17th place, the track was so rough as it had not been graded frome the racing on saturday, i knew it would be a long race. I had some tough battles throughout the race with sword and felt i rode a strong. from not such a good start i was well happy with 8th after the 30minutes was up!
race 2- just when i thought i coudnt get anyworst off the start…… i did and to top it off i crashed after a coming together with another rider on the first lap, last place on lap 1. head down and charging, i started to work back through the field. i knew i had a good winters traing under my belt and could still be strong at the end of the race. 10th was the final result and a good confidence boost going into round 3 of the british championship at lyng in 2 weeks time!
The only down side to the weekend came in our last 5 minutes at fatcat when a heavy down pour soaked us all to the skin……! However my Girlfriend Janette had made a surprise apperance, traveling down to doncaster with my good mate Javleg (finger) so we turned up jacko’s dance mix really loud on the journey home aboard the 4 potter, and all was soon forgotten. Top Mix !!!!! Im now thinking secret disco light switch in that tractor?????? pimp my John Dear.
untill next time.
